Sub-theme 1:
I&T for Nature (Yama)

Hong Kong offers a unique blend of nature and technological advancements where sustainable living and eco-friendly practices thrive. Country parks and special areas cover about 40% of Hong Kong’s total land area. Residents and visitors have easy access to tranquil reservoirs, breath-taking hiking trails, and campsites. Let's develop intelligent solutions that enhance the operation of country parks and campsites to offer safer and worry-free outdoor experiences for all!

I&T for Community (Community Wellness)

Hong Kong as a compassionate and inclusive society recognises the significance of fostering holistic well-being for both individuals in need and their caregivers. Through innovation and technology, we can enhance the quality of carer support services, creating a more connected and socially vibrant future. Let's come up with smart solutions that facilitate all-round support for carers, empowering them to effectively navigate the daily challenges!

Submit your innovative idea as individuals or teams on the City I&T Grand Challenge website under any of the 4 groups:

Open Group
University/Tertiary Institute Group
Secondary School Group (Lower: F1-3 (Year 7-9) and Upper: F4-6 (Year 10-13))
Primary School Group - P1-6 (Year 1-6)

Mid-Jul 2024

Shortlisted participants will pitch their ideas to the judges

Mid-Aug 2024

Finalists of each group will compete for championship to receive attractive cash prizes/coupons, trophies and certificates.

After Grand Pitch

Winners from Open Group and University / Tertiary Institute Group will have the opportunity to receive a co-creation fund of up to HK$1,000,000 and other support to further develop the winning solutions for trial and adoption by government departments or public organisations.

Winners will participate in public events and promotion campaigns to showcase their solutions/prototypes and share trial outcomes.
